Frequently Asked Questions
What support is available for fleet customers?
Fleet customers benefit from dedicated fleet expertise, retailer support and ongoing aftersales assistance throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
Can JAECOO support sustainability objectives?
Yes. Our vehicle range is designed to help organisations balance operational requirements with environmental goals.
What is Business Contract Hire (BCH)?
BCH is a fixed-term vehicle leasing agreement, specifically for businesses. You will pay a fixed monthly rental to use the vehicle, with an agreed mileage allowance, and then simply return the vehicle at the end of the agreement without the hassle of ownership or depreciation.
How it works
Initial payment: An upfront payment at the start of the agreement, often equivalent to one to 12 months’ rental. This cost considers the whole agreement term length, agreed annual mileage, and estimated vehicle depreciation.
Fixed rentals: A fixed amount paid monthly over the agreed term (typically 24 to 48 months). This cost considers the whole agreement term length, agreed annual mileage, and estimated vehicle depreciation.
No ownership: Because the agreement is a rental, ownership remains with the leasing company. At the end of the agreement, the vehicle is returned to the leasing company, eliminating resale responsibilities and depreciation risks.
Mileage limits: Before the agreement begins, you will provide an estimated annual mileage. Going over this incurs extra per-mile charges.

What is BIK?
Often referred to as ‘Company Car Tax’, Benefit in Kind (BIK) is a tax paid by drivers of vehicles made available by a business for personal use – if a vehicle is not made available for personal use, then BIK does not apply. Like with other non-cash benefits, BIK for vehicles applies because a vehicle holds monetary value and its use is therefore treated as a taxable income.
BIK is calculated using the vehicle’s CO2 emissions, its official list price (P11D), whether the driver is a 20% or a 40% taxpayer, and (if it is an emissions producing vehicle like a Petrol/Electric Plug-in Hybrid) its electric range. Zero emissions vehicles pay the lowest BIK percentage at 4% for the 2026/27 tax year, with the percentage increasing each year (5% for 2027/28, 7% for 2028/29, 9% for 2029/30).
BIK is also applicable to drivers of Salary Sacrifice vehicles.
To work out the annual BIK cost to a driver, the following equation can be used;
Vehicle’s P11D value x vehicle’s BIK % x driver’s income tax rate (20% or 40%)
